The 5th Anniversary Love for Giovanni Trunk or Treat (Allergy friendly-Food Free)

This was our 5th Anniversary trunk or treat. We started planning months before. I had an amazing team working with me because I knew I needed extra help to pull off all the I wanted to include. One super kickass team of women I have known to become my family, not just friends. The ones who always show up for everything I do that involves keeping Giovanni's story alive, including #foodallergyawareness, and just anytime I need them for anything they are always there. Susan Kelly, Kristine Santora Franks, Toni Guadiosi, Karen Scordato Woessner, Jessica Stark, you guys seriously are my life savers in more ways than one. Elaine Kelly, your help keeping me organized was top notch, as were your media skills. Thank you so much for keeping my scatter brain in check. I'll be looking for you as my full time assistant when that dream job comes along. Be ready!

Thank you to all the awesome teen volunteers (my super helpers in yellow shirts) you all made the whole day run smoothly! I'm so grateful that you joined us and helped at our event. I hope you had fun and consider becoming part of our annual tradition.

To all our generous sponsors and donors, a great big thank you! Glen Bock-Auvi-Q, (Epinephrine injector, USP) Regal Cinemas 13, Frozen Sin, Unicorn Jewelers, Hersheys, LaToys, Sugar Crazy, Zuckers Bakery, Vincent's Pizza of Lynbrook, A la Carte Cooking School, Ella Cuts Creations, Busbees Soccer, F & L Deli, Lynbrook Deli, NY Isanders, Prac Medic Bags, The Sweet Peace Bakery, Hand and Stone Massage & Facial Spa - Hewlett, Lynbrook Ultimate Martial Arts & Fitness, Pete's Home Improvements, Stephanie Sorkin, JJ Volupas, Eleanor Garrow-Holding/FAACT,

A Huge thank you to our super cool DJ JIMMY PALAZZOLA/JIMMY JAMMZZ ENTERTAINMENT, the music vibe was right on point. Thank you not only for you master MC services but for really caring about our cause, it really showed and we are so grateful.

Thank you to all our local legislators that were so wonderful to stop by and welcome us with their support, Legislator Bill Gaylor, Assemblywoman Judy Griffin, TOH Anthony D'Esposito, Nassau County State Legislator Laura Curran, our very own Mayor Alan Beach, The Lynbrook Village trustees, and all the amazing first responders, Police, Fire and EMS, thank you for coming out and taking the time to ensure the safety of all our visitors. My vision was to create a safe feeling for our children and parents alike when in the face of an emergency, giving them safety tips and Epi demos, etc., along the way. That is exactly the feedback that was received and I couldn't be more overwhelmed with how perfectly my vision was executed. I can't thank you all enough! There is no other community like Lynbrook! This is the place I tell every family they want to grow up in. Thank you for truly caring about your community. It is so great to see all the wonderful, super creative, super cook, even interactive trunks. Each yeargets better and better. One think that never changes is the energy and feelings that exude loud and clear out to our little universe. Hearts are cracked wide open and we can all feel the amazing love and joy seeping from those cracks. Those cracks that we all get from feeling broken at those hard times. We come to share in a safe space to enjoy a special day with no fears and gather with friends and family who get it. Our hearts are a little lighter. Our smiles a little brighter. These feelings, these smiles and the love felt makes all the hard work so so very worth every second. A million thanks!

In memory of Giovanni,

I love you!
